Celebrate Earth Day At Civic Park!

About Earth Day

Get Inspired. Take Action. Be a part of the green revolution.

For Earth Day 2023, we need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably). Businesses, governments, and citizens — everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable. A partnership for the planet.

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EARTHDAY.ORG including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.

The official theme for 2023 is Invest In Our Planet.

Organizations Confirmed

For Exhibitors

Thank you for joining us. Your participation and enthusiasm will help make this an educational and entertaining event! Please share this event in your social media feeds and newsletter.

You are expected to bring your own table, pop-up tent, and folding chairs.  We will allocate one 10’ x 10’ booth space for each organization unless you let us know that you need additional space.  We will help you unload, set up and load up at the end.

Electricity is not available; charge and provide a battery for any equipment.  Booths will be on the lawn, so be prepared for damp grass if the sprinklers were run.  You may want a tarp or astroturf rug to throw down, just in case. The wind is not likely a problem, but bring sandbags or weights for your pop-up tents, just in case.

WHEN DO WE SET UP?

Setup begins at 9:30 am.  Depending on the complexity of your table/booth, you can plan your time accordingly.  We ask everyone to complete their setup by 10:50 am.  Drop off of all materials for tabling is at the rear parking lot adjacent to the Senior Center and Assembly Hall or at the Library Park lot, where there is a walkway to the Park. You need to move your car right after drop-off.  Volunteers will help unload, secure your belongings, and supervise setup.

WHERE DO WE SET UP?

We will have a tabling setup plan. You will find a spot flagged on the ground for your booth when you arrive. It’s a small park, and volunteers will direct you.

WHERE DO WE PARK?

All participants, volunteers, and those staffing tables must allow time to move their cars to a parking garage. There are several all within three blocks of the venue, with inexpensive rates.

Please DO NOT leave cars in Civic Park parking lots unless you have a physical disability.  Parking spaces should be for Earth Day as well as Crystal Faire visitors.

Our partners at the WC Library request that you leave the library parking for library patrons.  All street parking is on a 2-hour meter, so we highly recommend you use the parking garages.

VOLUNTEER HELPERS

If you need to step away from your booth for a short period of time. Arrange in advance or ask at the Gazebo for a volunteer to assist.

BATHROOMS, FOOD, AND WATER

Public bathrooms are located at the ceramics arts building and the community center, both at the park and library.
