The City of Walnut Creek is excited to announce that SunShares is back this Fall! SunShares is a renewable energy procurement program making it easier and more affordable for Bay Area residents to go solar or purchase an electric vehicle. SunShares offers discounts and free workshops. There’s something for everyone — renters can also learn more about their clean energy options. To sign up or for more information, please visit: www.bayareasunshares.org.
A Contra Costa workshop will be held on September 28 from 7-8 PM at Concord’s City Hall, 1950 Parkside Drive, Concord. In addition, the program will hold several webinars covering the same material. RSVP for workshops and webinars at www.bayareasunshares.org/events. More than 30 Walnut Creek homeowners have gone solar by participating in previous SunShares programs.
The City of Walnut Creek is participating in SunShares to help support the clean energy goals in our Climate Action Plan, provide additional resources to our residents, and demonstrate our commitment to sustainability. SunShares is a project of the Business Council on Climate Change (BC3), a non-profit working with Bay Area businesses to take collective action on sustainability issues.
