Sustainability Week Coalition
The Walnut Creek Sustainability Week Coalition came together in 2020, uniting organizations and volunteers in Contra Costa advocating for personal, environmental, and community health. They held the first Sustainability Week in October 2021. The events are designed to increase awareness of diverse actions and organizations that promote healthy living, such as electrification of transportation and the home, buying sustainable products, public transportation for recreation, and eating sustainably. Sustainability Week aims to attract residents from Walnut Creek and neighboring communities, along with visitors from the Bay Area.
