In the second part, we’ll unpack together with a panel because it is so important to be more active, and how to get started.

Presenter: Fred Bialy, Climate Reality Bay Area Chapter
In 2006 Fred was awakened to the reality of the Climate Emergency by Al Gore’s documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”. He then began reading more about the science of Climate Change and attending Climate marches. In July of 2020, he attended the first Virtual Training of the Climate Reality Project led by Al Gore. Since then, he has given presentations on the Climate Emergency to various groups. Currently co-leads the Climate Reality Policy Action Squad for Contra Costa County. Fred is a retired Emergency Physician.


Moderator: Nadine Hammer, Climate Reality Bay Area Chapter

Nadine is a member of the Climate Reality Chapter (trained in 2020 by Al Gore), and in addition, part of the Contra Costa Climate Action Squad. She is co-leading Organizer of Sustainability Week Walnut Creek. She works in Product Development in Biotech, and earned her Master’s Degree in Social Science and economics from the University of Mannheim in Germany.
